Late one night after some restless little sleepers needed a cuddle from their mum; Ingrid stayed awake thinking about her new label that was in the pipe line and only down on paper, in sketches of her vision for a beautiful children's bean bag range.

After she fell asleep tired with good thoughts and lots of cuddles from her gorgeous twin boys Flynn and Archer she awoke with a surprisingly clear head, a sense of anticipation and her wonderful, creative husband Clif saying 'what about cocoon?' Cocoon....? Cocoon Ingrid thought; perfect! ....the new brand will be called Cocoon Couture.

Cocoon -

for a child's unique space; their place to snuggle up in; a place to rest; all lovely and cozy. A quiet place to retreat and relax in.

Couture -

for the unique; bespoke designs that would soon adorn these beautiful bean bags and other lovely pieces; individual and delightful, not yet seen by the world.

Cocoon Couture is a collection of children's bean bags and unique room accessories . This beautiful and diverse range features unique designs of delightful animal critters inspired by the treasures of Ingrid and her friend's childhood.

Originally started by Ingrid Daniell and her good friend Tania Egan in 2004; Cocoon Couture took its first baby steps into a select number of unique children's boutiques across Melbourne and Sydney. From these early beginnings Cocoon Couture soon gained momentum and a loyal following.

Melanie McLeod joined Cocoon Couture in 2007, bringing her dynamic business sense and vast manufacturing and production experience to the partnership with Ingrid.

With a delightful four year old girl Charlotte ...and another little baby on the way; Melanie helped Cocoon Couture to expand its range and propel it's success in the Australian and International market place!
